insomnia, ver. 10

data everywhere, thoughts scattered on the table, concerns about something in a couple of weeks. orderdisorder & checking mindless internet timewasting bullshit. at this point in the evening/night it strikes and suddenly inspiration and broadness of mind increase, and I find myself not printing anything through, not connecting any loose ends.
going to see murcof next friday - that'll be nice.

thinking about sleeping. not going to. not yet, not now. looking forward to getting those videos done and a lot of other things also.

the tour is halfway. also, we have some new stuff coming...

hi,

this blog is on of the least updated on blogspot, i think - it will get better, we promise.

our winter/spring tour is halfway now, a little more actually. next stop is tomorrow at Vanløse Kulturhus (at 8 pm). this concert will feature Christian Feldfoss as our sound engineer - Christian Feldfoss normally works and travels with Efterklang on their tours, so we are very honoured to have him with us.
this concert will hopefully be recorded (with a little luck).

these are pictures for you; some are from our tour, some are from some recordings we did saturday - we shot two new videos that day presenting a new and an old song in weird versions. stay tuned.

good times

a lot of good things happened in feburary.

when malte came home from switzerland, we rehearsed like hell to get ready for our mini-tour in the middle of Feburary with 3 concerts in Jutland.
that tour-week was simply incredible - we became a rutine-based touring band for the first time ever. it was fantastic to experience the calmness, coolness and casualness (is that even a word?) of my fellow bandcolleauges. they were amazing and played AMAZING on stage. we pulled of three mindblowing concerts - a listeners-based concert at Klejtrup Efterskole and to massive, rave-like concerts in Århus and Silkeborg, receiving great support from the audiences... wow. thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you all.

furthermore, esben played a great debut-gig with his soloproject in Århus in Feburary, emil and his brother has been chosen for a danish "carreer-competition" called "Karriere Kanonen", and i'm composing the score for a fabulous short film made by tilde juul, malte has returned from switzerland and andreas and christine are not far from graduating. wow.

a lot of good things happened, and a lot of good things are to come.
our next concerts is at Femmøller Efterskole and the Trinitatis Church in Copenhagen - the church-gig will be extra interesting, because of the special acoustics a large stonechurche gives. we will play some of our songs a little differently.

thank you.

the first ringwraith of the padaung tribe, burma.

also, that same evening, before having encountered the creature above, esben said the following (about one of the new songs): "Playing this song is like joggling with your head..." Then, a rethorical pause followed by: "... well, sometimes you get it right - and it's great."

Die Schweiz

Hi everyone,
this is Malte writing.

Since new year I have been in Basel, Switzerland visiting my sister and her family, part time vacation and part time looking after my nephew. So far it has been great and such a thing as fresh mountain air is being fully enjoyed!

Currently I am in Zürich for a few days and could probably stay here for a couple of weeks; a very open and quite 'warm' city. Definetly going back!

The last weeks I have been spending some of the late hours exploring the website last.fm, an online radio service where you 'compose' your own radio channel by giving information about some favorite artists or so. Then you are able to listen to these artists and some that are simliar, or you can browse through the site and add new artists to your growing library. So you may discover new songs by artists you know or new music, which has some qualities you might like.
I think it's an interesting concept and most of all a qualified replacement for mainstream radio. Check it out yourself!

I will be back in Denmark in febuary for our concert in Herning the 5th. Really looking foreward to that!

Hope you've all entered the new year with good will and excitement.

All the best from Schweiz
